The purpose of a Christian ministry is in two folds:

First, making disciples of all nations through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey Christ – Matthew 28:19-20.

Second, to build up believers in the most holy faith through the correct teaching of the word and prayer – Jude 1:20, Acts 6:4, 1 Timothy 4:13.

For a ministry to be effective in fulfilling its purpose, sound biblical doctrine plays an important role as this shapes the teachings and practices of the ministry. Below are the statements of faith or doctrine we subscribe to as a ministry:

The Bible: The Bible which comprises of 66 books across the Old and New Testament contains God-inspired words. We believe the bible is inerrant, sufficient and authoritative for teaching, reproof, correction and training in righteousness – 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21

Trinity: We believe there is one God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons — the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person has its own distinct personal role, but without division of nature, essence, or being – John 6:27, Romans 1:7, John 1:1,14, Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9, Genesis 1:2; Job 26:13; Psalm 104:30

Creation – We believe God is the creator and preserver of all things in the universe. Among all God’s creation, only man (both male and female) was made in His image and likeness – Genesis 1:27

Sovereignty of God: God who is omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere) and omnipotent (all powerful) is the supreme ultimate ruler over creation and all things are under His control – Psalm 115:3, Psalm 135:6, Psalm 139:7-8, John 1:3, Acts 17:26

The Fall / Original sin: The deception of the devil and disobedience of Adam and Eve made mankind lose their rightful position with God. Also, God’s image and likeness in which they were created was corrupted by sin thus making mankind morally and spiritually dead – Genesis 3, Romans 1:21, Romans 7:18, Romans 8:7, Romans 2:1

The Punishment of Sin: God being holy, righteous and just had to punish sin. Therefore, both physical and eternal death (damnation) became a reality for mankind as a result of sin – Genesis 3:19, Romans 6:23, Revelation 21:8

Christ the Redeemer: God out of his compassion and love for mankind made a way through Jesus Christ – who paid the ultimate price for the sins of mankind on the cross, to bring redemption from sin and eternal death, granting eternal life and reconciliation to God. Whoever turns away from their sins and places their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour shall be redeemed – Romans 5:6-11, John 3:16, 1 Peter 3:18, 2 Corinthians 5:17-19

Salvation: We believe by grace alone through faith alone is one saved from sin and eternal death, and not by their own doing – Ephesians 2:8-9

The Great Commission: We believe that believers has been commanded by God to be faithful witnesses of the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ, making disciples of him whether on a local, national or global level: baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey His word – Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 5:20, Romans 10:14-17, 1 Peter 2:9

Prayer: We believe prayer is an essential component of a believer’s life, it is a privilege given by God to communicate with Him and encounter Him. In other words, it is a “sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the soul to God, through Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, for such things as He has promised, for the good of the church with submission in faith to the will of God” – John Bunyan. Neglecting prayer means neglecting God and the spiritual wellbeing of one’s soul.

The Second Coming of Christ and Final Judgement: We believe in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ where he will come to finally judge all men – Acts 1:11, Revelation 1:7, Jude 1:15, Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 16:27
